Bericht von Yasmin Voss, Vize Präsidentin Charities

Im Februar konnte ich an einem Rundgang in der Düsseldorfer Diakonie teilnehmen.

Ich fand es beeindruckend, mit welchem Engagement die Betreuer der verschiedenen Projekte ihre Arbeit verrichten. Wir hatten leider an den 4 Stationen nur begrenzte Zeit, und die Betreuer hatten so viel zu erzählen, dass es mit der Zeit schon knapp wurde und wir von unserer Führerin weiter gescheucht wurden. Es war ein interessanter Abend, der auch wieder zeigt, wie viel die Diakonie und vor allem die Mitarbeiter*Innen leisten. Der Abend endete im Café Drüsch, wo wir mit frischen Brezeln, Kaffee, Tee und Softdrinks versorgt wurden.

In February I had the opportunity to take part in a visit to various project areas of the Düsseldorf Diakonie. I was particularly impressed by the commitment the project leaders showed in their areas of work. Unfortunately, we had only limited time in each of the four sections and the leaders had so much to explain that we were running out of time and Frau Ute Langen, our dedicated member of the “Spender Service” had to hurry us along. It was a highly interesting evening which demonstrated once again what an enormous contribution the Diakonie and the staff especially, make to our Düsseldorf community. The evening ended in Café Drüsch, where we were treated to fresh bread pretzels, coffee, tea and softdrinks.
